Few people in Oregon know the value of hard work, training, and immense focus than Ashton Eaton. The Bend-born, Duck decathlete has twice won the gold medal in the Olympics as a result of applying a tireless focus to his goal of being the best in the world.
Ashton is now applying that focus to a new goal — helping reform our education system to realize the full potential of every student in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.
After we went for a run in Golden Gate Park, covering everything from how badly we missed to Pre’s Trail in Eugene to the delicious flavors of Salt and Straw ice cream, we talked about Ashton’s passion for tapping into untapped potential.
That run led to this podcast episode. Give it a listen at this link (sends you to spotify but you can find the podcast wherever you listen).
