Kevin Frazier: Will you have lunch with me?
The PB & Joy project starts today. Sign up - there's only 100 spots to discuss what about living in Oregon brings you joy.
Kevin Frazier does his best to edit The Oregon Way while “attending” the UC Berkeley School of Law. He is splitting his time between SF and Oregon.
What will 2021 bring? 100 PB&Js

At this point in the week, I know that I’m not the only one looking for some certainty. There’s so much about 2021 that seems up in the air — will masks become a fashion statement rather than a public health necessity? are the Blazers going to make it to the Western Conference Finals? who will be our president?
Despite doubts of what next year (or even the next day) will bring, I take solace in two things that will always be stable:
(1) My love for PB&Js
(2) My love for Oregon
I also know that I’m not the only one who loves some good crunchy PB and a scenic spot to eat it in the greatest state in the Union.
That’s why I’m starting the PB & Joy project. In 2021, I’ll have a PB&J with 100 different Oregonians to discuss their sandwich and, most importantly, what about living in Oregon brings them joy. Highlights from those conversations will then become blog posts right here!
Under the current circumstances, all of these sessions will be conducted over Zoom (don’t worry, I will send you a calendar invite with all of the login details). I’m confident that even if remote, we will be able to connect over a delicious sandwich and a state we are fortunate to call home.
So, will you have lunch with me?
