I’m asked to define leadership, I usually say that it is communicating a vision of the future that inspires people to work with you to bring it into being. To me, the future of Oregon Way in public service requires us to build a collaborative approach to meeting the needs of Oregon’s people. This week, our writers consider the impending gubernatorial primary, how jury service can bring disparate people together to work toward a common goal, and how the incentives built into legislative service push legislators away from serving their constituents.
