Perhaps best to just create the curriculum that teaches what you outline here and call it "history" or "Oregon history" (and perhaps replace "Oregon, My Oregon" with Portlander Esperanza Spalding and her version of "Sunnyside of the Street" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQtXo4tiZxs).
