Increasing density is vital to protect our farmland and forests. We cannot maintain our quality of life with unending sprawl. Where is Tom McCall when you need him most?

Agreed some accommodation is needed to help with homelessness. However many of these policies are short sighted and very expensive. Housing people without the skills of home ownership will be a long term drain on state coffers. In the past high density has = slums. Education seems a more worthwhile investment. Just in the numbers you provided show how these goals are unattainable when infrastructure and affects on the environment and farmland are figured in. All in all an awful way to proceed.
